Devil May Cry Demo

Yet again, I sit in front of my TV, this time removed from my childhood home, deciding whether or not to let a "Devil May Cry" game fooling me into spending my money again. Luckily this time, I didn't have to buy anything to get a demo - - I have a hard time buying the game, let alone paying for something else just to play it.

This time what sort of surprises me is the fact that from what I have seen, the series' rugged hero is replaced by someone a lot less rugged and a lot more...metro? Sure he uses guns like Dante, and uses a sword like Dante, and even wears a red trench coat...just like Dante. Basically he knocked Dante out of his boots, took his life, EVEN HIS HAIR.

Call for Help

As those 0 of you that read this blog can see, I have been very busy, and not with the blog. I need some help. The life of a student is a busy one, and while I really do want to see if I can't get this off the ground, I can't do it alone. Videos, reviews, images, anything that can be passed on to me, (legally please) I'd be very grateful for!

I know it has been a while, and this game has been out for a while, but up until recently I fought myself into NOT buying it. Nothing like sitting on PSN getting bitched at by a ton of gamers who weren't even around when I started playing video games. After much argument, and many jokes by my boss, I caved in and bought it. It was used, so if I hated it, like I assumed I would, I could just return it. No harm, no foul. I wish I had a video camera to capture my reaction when I started playing. I sat down, popped the disk in, and even the training level was more than I expected. Being put through a test that determines your games difficulty is pretty hardcore, and me being out of practice had to do it 10 or 20 times before I got the hardened ranking I wanted. While once again, I feel EVERY game with guns should have a corner shooting option, I guess I'll just have to settle with bullet penetration. I got pretty sick of, "I know you are behind that crate...but my sniper bullets are two weak to puncture 2x4s." With one of the most intense stories I've ever played through in a shooter, sometimes it is hard to tell if I would have enjoyed this more as a movie or a game. There were points I wished I could have sat back and just watched the events unfold, without my hand guiding anything.

I've also never been so addicted to online play before. Giving those that have been playing are awarded for fulfilling certain challenges. A certain number of kills and headshots with certain guns unlock new camo and new addons. The EXP guage fills with almost everything you do, awarding new guns and so on. Granted, new players are put at a slight disadvantage...but not a big enough one to make victory impossible. The might need an extra shot or two to take down a target.
